Dr. Maryam Ahmad KazmiI am a DEI People Analyst within the Planning, Analytics & Insights team at Google. I earned my doctorate in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston, where I specialized in diversity, equity, and inclusion. I am passionate about using my expertise to create more inclusive workplaces. In my current role, I work on a variety of research projects and scaled reporting efforts related to measuring and increasing equity within recruitment, hiring, and selection.
I also continue to engage with academic research. My interests are primarily driven by three broad questions: (1) what mechanisms continue to prevent underrepresented minorities from participating in and advancing in certain careers/jobs, (2) how to make workplaces increasingly diverse and inclusive through equitable processes, and (3) what are the individual and organizational consequences of diverse workplaces? In answering these questions, my research work merges diversity, equity, & inclusion with recruitment, workplace safety, mentoring, and employee health and well-being. To conduct my research, I rely on quantitative analyses, such as structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, regression, and growth curve modeling using web-scraped, archival, and survey-based data. |
